What is the difference between a facial bar facial and a treatment room facial?

(This treatment does not include extraction). How long will my treatment take?

Oxygen facials (bar facials) take about 25-30 minutes. Treatment room services can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on the facial. We offer add-on.

Can I bring a friend to sit next to me?

Of course you can! In fact, we think that’s the most fun way to enjoy a facial at the facial bar! The chairs you reserve when booking your appointment will be seated together.

What is an oxygen facial?

An oxygen facial is a skincare treatment that uses the amazing power of hyperbaric oxygen to infuse serum into the skin. Oxygen concentrators create a pressure bubble on the surface of the skin, which aids in the deep absorption into the skin. Every bar facial includes at least one pass of oxygen.

What is a HydraFacial?

The Hydrafacial treatment is a new breakthrough in aesthetic technology. This medical grade, multi-step process removes dead skin cells and extracts while simultaneously bathing the new skin cells with cleansing, hydrating, and moisturizing serums. The treatment is soothing, refreshing, and immediately effective.

Does a Facial hurt?

No, our treatments are all extremely gentle and relaxing. Our licensed estheticians are soothing and trained to provide a therapeutic facial experience.

I have acne, is there a treatment that could help me?

Yes, In fact, our facials is designed especially for oily and acneic skin. Our oxygen facial is antibacterial properties that also reduce acne and infuses nourishing serums into the pores. Ask you esthetician to recommend products for a skincare routine that is right for you.

How often can I get a facial?

You can get a facial as often as once a week! We recommend a facial once a month for the best results for your skin.

I have an event coming up, so when should I get a facial?

The day before is best, but you can also get a facial as close as the morning or afternoon of your event. We recommend doing a HydraFacial 2-3 days before your event in order to ensure red carpet readiness.

I'm pregnant, can I still get a facial?

You can still get any bar facial or treatment room service except for Glycoli and HydraFacial’s. Please tell your esthetician in your consultation that you are pregnant, and we will switch out any necessary products to ensure the safety of you and your baby.

Can I recieve a facial if I have had botox or fillers?

For all oxygen facials, you must wait 48 hours before receiving treatment. For HydraFacial and microdermabrasion treatment, you must wait 5-7 days.

I just got  aspray tan, can I still get a facial?

Yes, as long as you wait 8-12 hours after your tanning session so that your tan can set, you can get a facial!

I just got waxed, can I still get a facial?

Yes! Just let us your esthetician know so that we can avoid the area with certain products. Our oxygen facial, is anti-inflammatory and can help reduce irritation from waxing.

How does a HydraFacial differ from microdermabrasion/Oxygen facial or a traditional chemical facial peel?

There are a few key differences. For example, microdermabrasion treatments use manual extractions, while a HydraFacial uses a vacuum-like tip to cleanse deeper down than a traditional extraction. That's also much less painful. HydraFacial uses 3 step 1st step cleansing and peel, 2nd step extract and hydrate 3rd step saturated with hydrating serums full of antioxidants and peptides. Additionally, chemical peels use acids and are most effective on lighter skin tones, whereas HydraFacials can be used on all shades.

Waxing FAQ

Why wax?

Waxing is a form of hair removal that removes the entire hair from the hair follicle. Unlike shaving, Nair or clippers, which bluntly cut the hair at the surface. Warm wax is applied to the skin and “shrink wraps” around the hair follicle allowing the hair to be pulled from the root. Because the entire hair is removed, skin is left very smooth and outlasts any other form of hair removal, you won’t believe it till you try it.

Do waxing treatments hurt?

Yes and no. Waxing does hurt most the first time. There are two reasons for this: If you have a low pain tolerance, take ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment to help out!

Will my skin have a reaction?

Yes, possibly. The upper lip, back and chest are all areas that are prone to breakouts. If you have a tendency towards ingrown hairs and irritation from shaving, you are more likely to have the same reactions waxing, although dramatically decreased. To minimize skin reactions, you MUST use proper home care and come to get waxed on a regular schedule.

All-in-all, come in like clockwork, every 4 weeks on the dot, exfoliate your skin and moisturize. This will help set you up for waxing success!

I'm one of those super organized people: Do I need to prepare for my wax?

No, our wax specialists will take care of everything and walk you through our 4 Steps to Gorgeous process. We just ask that you kindly arrive on time

Is waxing unsanitary?

No way, no how. Wax in general is antibacterial, simply because there is zero water in the product. In order for bacteria to grow, some amount of water must be present.

We practice smart, clean waxing and take universal precautions to ensures that the practices she used every day in the Health Care would is exactly what practice in our waxing world! We use gloves, disposable sticks, clean & prep the skin prior to hair removal, disinfect our tools and more.

How long do you have to wait to shower after a wax?

Wait at least 4-6 hours for your skin to get back to normal before taking a hot shower or bath.

What do I wear to my waxing appointment?

We suggest wearing loose clothing. The skin is usually sensitive post waxing service and you won’t want to wear anything that rubs. You will not leave in discomfort perse, but expect the waxed area to be sensitive.

What to avoid after waxing?

We know you're excited to show off that bikini wax, but avoid the gym, tanning salon, swimming pool, hot tubs and sauna for 12 hours after waxing.

How long do I need to wait from waxing or shaving?

If it is your first-time waxing, then we recommend you refrain from shaving for at least two weeks before your reservation. After your first wax, it is recommended to wax every three to four weeks. Then go home and throw your razors away, because you'll never have to shave again.

Should I shave or trim my hair between visits?

If you find yourself tempted to shave or trim, don’t! Once you see that waxing leaves you stubble-free, you won’t want to. Staying away from clippers and razors will also help to remove more growth cycles during your next visit. If you have the urge to shave in between visits, book them closer together! Razors and clippers chop the hair at its thickest, making it harder for the wax to hold on to!

Can hair be too long for waxing?

In general, hair has to be about ¼" long for wax to be able to grab onto it. If it's not long enough, then your technician may not be able to remove it, especially if it's thick. ... In fact, it can make getting a good wax way harder. If hair is 1/2" long or longer, you can run into some real problems.

How many times do you need to wax before hair stops growing?

You should get waxed every three to four weeks, while underarms and facial services should be done more frequently.

Does hair grow back thicker after waxing?

Your hair does not grow back thicker when you get waxing done. It's the complete opposite, if you continue to get waxing done on an area and do nothing else you will actually find that it grows back finer, lighter and in some cases patchy.

Does hair get thinner after waxing?

By waxing, you are pulling at the hair from the root and doing this over time you damage the hair bulb meaning hair grows back less dense and with a finer texture.

Will I be completely smooth my first wax or not?

It’s like working out at the gym. You don’t automatically lose 10lbs on your first visit, right? It’s the same thing with waxing. You will not get the best wax until your 3rd wax. This is due to the 3 stages of hair growth. So, 3 growth stages + 3 waxes = the best wax. By “best wax” we mean: No hair left behind, ultimate smoothness, slow hair regrowth and little skin irritation.

How long does a Wax last?

A waxing service can last up to 3-4 weeks.

What kind of wax do you use?

Only the best, of course! No seriously, our wax is imported from (oh la, la) France. For sensitive areas, we use hard wax and for bigger areas, a low-burning aloe strip wax is used.

What the heck is a Brazilian and how long does it take?

It’s kind of like a Bikini wax on steroids! A Brazilian wax is the complete removal of hair, front and back. You decide if you want to go completely bare or would like to keep a small landing strip or triangle of hair. The Brazilian alone (without any added waxing service) should take no longer than 15-30 min.

Do men wax?

Absolutely! Beyond the Manzilian (the male version of the Brazilian) many men also wax their chests, backs, noses and ears. Some men love to be slick from top to toes, and we can take care of that. But we have a tip for you: Don’t wax your face. While women’s faces respond well, the hair on a man’s face and head isn’t built for the waxing process.

What about the Manzilian (Male Brazilian)?

During a Manzilian wax, we remove all of the hair from the male bikini area, the scrotum, and the butt crack. The Manzilian does not include the glutes, but will happily add that to your service if you wish!

Do I have to be completely undressed for a Brazilian?

Well, yes. But you will only need to undress from the waist down (including your underwear). We know it may be a little unnerving for you, you’ve never met our staff, we’ll going to be applying warm wax, your goods are hanging out – but trust us, we do this ALL day long. It’s just a body part to us. Waxing is a no judgement zone. Come as you are.

I'm pregnant! Can I get waxed?


I am on medication will this affect my wax?

Prior to your initial service, you will complete an intake consult form. Please advise your esthetician of any medical or skin conditions and also if you are taking any medications prescribed by a doctor such as Retin-A or Accutane. Users of Retin-A, Renova, Differin or Accutane are advised not to use waxing on the face as these medications tend to weaken the skin. Because of this, tearing of the skin may occur when the wax is removed.

Aunt Flo is in town, can I still get waxed?

Yes! Please do not cancel your appointment if you have your menstrual cycle. Just insert a tampon and you’re good to go. Take note, there are differing opinions as to whether or not waxing hurts more on your cycle. Some do believe the pain is worse while others experience no changes in discomfort at all. If you have a low pain tolerance, take ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment to help out!

Who should not be waxed?

  • Anyone currently taking Accutain or who has taken Accutain at any time within the past 6 months.
  • Anyone who has an active Herpes outbreak
  • Anyone with a sunburn on the area to be treated
  • Anyone who has had a chemical peel over the treatment within the past 7 days
  • Anyone who has used any type of Retinol within the past 36 hours over the treatment area
  • Any area of the skin showing signs of trauma, varicose veins, open or active acne lesions, eczema, psoriasis or any type of dermatitis will not be waxed

How can I prevent ingrown hairs?

For the next 24-48 hours avoid on the waxed areas:

    • use of exfoliating products (Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products, loofahs, scrubs, etc.)
    • direct sun exposure and tanning beds
    • creams with fragrance or ingredients that may irritate
    • deodorant: it results in irritation and clogging of open follicles
    • wearing tight clothing: results in irritation and inflammation
    • excessive heat, such as that from hot tubs and saunas. Warm showers are okay.
    • exercise, if it may cause chaffing or sweating
    • touching the freshly waxed area: this encourages irritation

After 24-48 hours, regular exfoliation with a shower gel and loofah or exfoliating glove will help keep skin soft and prevent ingrown hairs.

Apply an SPF 30 or greater sunscreen to any exposed treatment areas. Since waxing exfoliates as well as removing hair, your skin will be more prone to sunburn in the days following your treatment.

Is there an age limit for getting waxed?

You can never be too old for a Brazilian! We even have clients who are septuagenarians. True story! As for the age to start waxing, that’s really up to you – or your parents if you’re under the age of 18. Guests 17 or younger should bring their parent or guardian in for the first time, as they will need to give the green light.
